The hotel compensates us through our travel network, not you. You pay the same room rate you would booking directly, often with added benefits like room upgrades, early check-in, or on-property credits. Our part is knowing which hotel fits your trip.

The earlier the better. Six months to a year is ideal for accommodations, while dining and daily plans come together closer in. We take on a limited number of trips at a time, so reach out whenever you're ready.

Planning is separate from the cost of travel, and confirmed before you commit. Hotels, flights, dining, transportation, and activities are each itemized, so nothing is hidden and you only pay for what you choose.

AFTERNOON is a travel design studio, and our reservations are made through an established, authorized travel network, the accreditation behind every booking we make.

Yes. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the planning cost is due alongside your signed Agreement before work begins. The remaining balance is due before delivery of your itinerary.

Timing depends on the trip. A single day comes together quickly; multi-day journeys take longer, especially where reservations must be secured. We confirm a timeline before work begins.

It's built to flex. We arrange the itinerary around the time you have, whether it's a single day or a full stay. Where a reservation calls for a set time, it's secured, and the hours around it are yours, leaving room for discoveries along the way.

Your itinerary is designed to stand on its own, with every reservation and essential detail in place. Our role is in planning, not on-the-ground support.

A traditional agency or tour operator bundles hotels, transport, guides, and activities into one price. We work differently. You get the same local depth in a plan you follow independently, so every part of your trip stays visible and within your control.

Hawaii, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, and Tokyo. We focus on the places we know intimately, bringing firsthand knowledge and cultural fluency shaped by personal experience. For accommodations beyond these destinations, we can also assist through our travel network.
